Cultivation Notes:
Used around the world in so many ways, Artemisia is a stalwart of the dry garden. Its foliage in shades of grey, silver and green provides a structural note in not only perennial borders but rockeries and general garden beds. Silver adds depth to a garden, acting as a foil for hot colours. Used wisely it can provide a lovely accent to your garden.

Aspect & Hardiness: Preferring an open sunny position they are frost and coast hardy.
Soil: Prefer a well drained, moist soil that is not overly rich. Most Artemisia will tolerate clay soils, but prefer a well drained loam.
Propagation: We propagate from cutting material for all our Artemisia’s. Cuttings taken in autumn or early to mid spring are the most successful. Species that are best propagated through division are clearly marked.
Watering: Avoid too much overhead watering which can cause blackening of the foliage in very humid areas. Dry tolerant once established.
Feeding: Moderate feeding is recommended in early spring with an organic slow release fertiliser.
Pruning: Trim lightly to maintain shape as required; do not trim into old wood. 
Pest & Disease free. Artemisias are commonly used as a moth and insect repellent.
Planting Companions: Achillea, Centurea, Papavier, Salvia, Cistus
