We grow all of our plants onsite in 10cm x 10cm square containers. We have found that this size allows for a reasonable size root system with improved success rates for the home gardener.  We take the utmost care when growing and labelling our stock, so if for some reason you get a surprise (welcome or not so welcome) please contact us immediately. 

Sustainability
We grow our plants using organic methods, though we are not organically certified.  We have a keen concern for where we source our seed and propagation material, and growing products and make sure they meet local environmental standards and are produced sustainably.  We use low impact chemicals registered with the Sustainability Association and only fertilise using targetted applications.  We water our stock using a pulse method, providing smaller amounts of water more regularly to prevent run off and leaching of fertilisers into our surrounding areas.  During the drought we are hand watering our stock to meet local council regulations.

Weed Potential
In trying to run a sustainable business we are also interested in hearing from customers where any of our plants have become a problem.  Please email us with the plant name, your area and to what extent it is becoming a nuisance.  We will place the details on our website.

Propagation
Within each plant description we have tried to provide you with our method of propagation.  All of our seed is sourced from reputable suppliers.  Where the seed is mixed and the colours are unknown we have clearly indicated in the individual plant descriptions. We do not collect seed from our stock as we cannot guarantee the  plant will be true to type. All plants propagated from cutting or division are taken from stock plants grown solely for that purpose. We monitor our stock plants very closely and replace them regularly with healthy, disease free stock as required.

Recycling
We are happy to recycling all our pots sold to customers.  We provide a 5c discount for every 10cm pot purchased from us and returned in good condition. This discount is taken off your next order.  The recycling of pots helps reduce plastic going into landfill, with every pot making a difference.
