Aquilegia or Columbines are one of our favourite flowers. With soft maidenhair-like foliage and beautiful bonnet shaped flowers they thrive in our garden. A typical woodland plant, thriving on compost rich soil in dappled light, they look fantastic in long snaking drifts winding their way under trees, softening edges and highlighting more structural plants as they grow.
